Singapore Synchrotron Light Source (SSLS), a university-level Research Institute at NUS, invites applications for the position of Management Assistant Officer. SSLS is a user facility that provides synchrotron radiation-based services to the research community and to commercial customers. To this end, it employs a lean team of highly specialised scientists, engineers, and technicians, and the admin group. SSLS handles a growing user base which currently stands at 450, and manages an operational turnover of more than $2 million annually.

The successful candidate, together with the small admin team, will handle a challenging and diverse range of financial and logistics support functions, including reconciliations between the SAP system and an internal forecasting tool, procurement, goods receipt, database management, statistical reporting, as well as event/seminar and travel planning/organization, among others.

• A person who gets things done
• Strong interest in accounting
• Meticulous, resourceful, independent, multi-tasking, good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Able to do simple design and layout for publications like brochures
• Fresh polytechnic grads in a relevant subject are particularly encouraged

The position is offered on a two-year contract basis, renewable depending on performance and features a competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience.
